EDF has been selected to facilitate the 2024 Japan Oil and Gas Methane Workshop: Advancing Multilateral Alignment, hosted by the European Union-funded European Union Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) project, to be held in Tokyo on June 6, 2024.
This international workshop aims to provide a pivotal platform for advancing multilateral dialogue, fostering collaboration, and promoting alignment to ensure secure and transparent global LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) markets while reducing methane emissions per the Global Methane Pledge and the Joint Declaration from Energy Importers and Exporters on Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Fossil Fuels.
The event will gather key stakeholders from the oil and gas industry, policy, and science community, including senior representatives from the European Commission and the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, to facilitate impactful discussions on policies, measures, and standards.
